The outer packaging of insulators is divided into bamboo box packaging and wooden box packaging.
All packaging for porcelain or glass insulators shall comply with the latest national or industry standards, and shall have good moisture-proof, vibration proof, rust proof, anti-theft and other protective measures to ensure the safe delivery of insulators to the site without damage due to the above reasons. Otherwise, the seller shall bear the responsibility for insulator damage, loss and economic losses.
- 1）All insulators should be packagedin sturdy wooden boxes (cartons) or bamboo crates (baskets) of suitable size and moisture resistance. The seller may also propose packaging methods and weights suitable for the project environment based on the size and weight of the insulators, combined with our company's experience, for the buyer's confirmation.
2) The packaging should ensure sufficient strength to withstand transportation, on-site storage, and handling during installation.
3) Suitable buffering measures should be provided in the packaging to prevent damage during transportation and handling. All these materials should have chemical stability, waterproofness, and should not adhere to insulators or corrode them during storage.
- 1. Packaging materials
Wooden boxes should be made of dry wood with a moisture content of no more than 25%, and after being washed with rainwater, they should not leave stains on the surface of the product due to wood reasons, such as eucalyptus trees which are prone to leaving stains. Wooden boxes should be processed with wooden boards and strips that have certain hardness and toughness, such as paulownia trees with insufficient strength.
The bamboo used for bamboo boxes should have a certain degree of hardness and toughness, and the bamboo strips should not crack. It is recommended to use bamboo with a growth period of 3-5 years. Defects such as insect infestation, decay, mold, damage, and dryness that reduce the strength of bamboo boxes are not allowed.
The packaging material should comply with the biological inspection and quarantine requirements of the supply location.
- 2. Packaging box structure
The outer packaging of insulators is divided into bamboo box packaging and wooden box packaging.
Determine the number of insulators that can be packed in each packaging box based on the weight of the insulators, the weight of a single piece packaging box should not exceed 50kg and can be carried by a single person; The weight of packaging boxes with double or more pieces should not exceed 70kg and should be carried by two people.
Single piece packaging (total weight not exceeding 50kg): 840kN (30kg~50kg)
Double pack (total weight not exceeding 70kg): 550kN (19kg~33kg), 420kN (14kg~23kg), 300kN (14kg~18kg)
Packaging of three or more pieces (total weight not exceeding 70kg): 420kN (14kg~23kg), 300kN (14kg~18kg), 210kN (10kg~12kg)
Thickness of Flat noodles: pine ≥ 6mm, poplar ≥ 8mm.
Side panel/baffle: If the overall waterproof plywood is used, the thickness should be ≥ 3mm; Other types shall not be less than the thickness of Flat noodles.
Adjacent products inside wooden box packaging should be separated by partitions or bars to prevent product movement.
The diameter of galvanized iron wire shall not be less than 2mm. The main buckle of galvanized iron wire shall extend 40-70mm from the wooden board, and the auxiliary buckle shall extend 40-70mm from the wooden board.
The size and appearance should comply with the enterprise standards of each manufacturing enterprise.
